About Jean
Retired Instructor of English and English as a Second Language (ESL) at California community colleges and universities, and a one-time ESL Instructor in Istanbul; from 1970 to 1990, a music instructor and guitarist/vocalist at multiple venues, including Renaissance Faires, Catholic schools, coffee houses, music stores, and seniors’ venues.
About the Book
An earlier edition of The Freeway Flyer and the Life of the Mind was published in 2009 while Douglas Snow was still alive. We had met in the late 1970s at the Blue Unicorn, a coffee house near the University of San Francisco, and reconnected during our adjunct faculty years. I also gave a few of our other contributors a chance to chime in again.
